Adding Employees into the program

After scanning and saving all the employee’s fingerprints properly on your Bioelectronix device, you should have an ID number assigned by the device for each employee. These ID numbers will have to be entered to your Timekeeper 2000 software as well as the employee's personal information.

This process can  be done by manually entering the employee's ID and personal information into the Timekeeper 2000 software or by downloading the ID numbers from the time clock to your Timekeeper2000  .

This ID number is the only way to link an employee to their punches into the software. NOTE: The ID#  number for each employee on the device must match the one in the software.

To enter the employee's personal information by downloading the ID's to your software, do the following steps :

* Click on the REPORTS tab.

 

* Click on the DEVICE TO PC COMMUNICATOR.

* Highlight your connection and connect to your time clock. as follows. if you don't have a connection created please refer to the  software installation guide and follow the instructions on how to create a connection between your Bioelectronix clock and your computer.

*After successfully  connecting to your clock, click on DOWNLOAD STAFFERS. Clicking on download staffers will download to your software all ID's used for your employees, and you will see something like the picture below.

*After Downloading the staffs ID's, then close the communicator  and go to the EMPLOYEE CONTROL tab on your Timekeeper 2000 software, and you will see the list of ID's numbers used on your time clock.

* Here double click on each ID number and the fields on employee information to the right will be ready to receive data, in the picture below we double clicked on employee ID 3, then on the field for NAME replace that number with the employee's name and click save to save your selection ( when entering employee's name please don't use apostrophes or hyphens since they wont be taken by the database ). You can update any information for employees at any time by double clicking on the employee's name from list then update any information such as shifts, salary, personal related information  ETC, and then click save.  

Then you will no longer see ID #3 number on the list, but you will see his name, like the picture below.

To manually enter the employee's personal information and their ID's to the software, do the following steps :

* Click on the EMPLOYEE CONTROL tab.

* Enter the employee name and click on SEARCH.

* Then enter the following 3 required fields ID#, Employee number and ID Card: ID # : this will be the 4 digit code assigned  by the Bioelectronix time clock for each employee after scanning their fingerprint, example : 0001, 0002. NOTE:  The id on the software does not need “zeros” before the number, so if the ID # is 0010 you may enter 10 only .ID CARD: many companies have badges or cards for their employees, if that’s the case with your company you can enter that information here, if not enter the same ID #. EMPLOYEE NUMBER: if you have an employee number assigned to your employees enter it here, if not input the same ID #. All other employee information fields are optional, once all desired employee information fields are entered click SAVE, now the employee should be successfully saved in the TIMEKEEPER 2000 software. 

NOTE: Repeat these steps for each employee you need to track time and attendance for, before downloading any records to the software.

NOTE : All three fields are required ID #, ID card, and employee number if not you will not be able to save the employee’s personal information, all other employee information is optional.
